Empowered to Connect Conference Simulcast

Empowered To Connect, together with Show Hope, hosts the Empowered To Connect Simulcast — a two-day conference designed to help adoptive and foster parents, ministry leaders, churches, and professionals better understand how to connect with “children from hard places” in order to help them heal and become all that God desires for them to be.
The conference features Dr. Karyn Purvis together with other speakers and expert, and is ideal for adoptive and foster parents, those considering adoption or foster care and those who are serving and supporting others, including social workers, agency professionals, church staff and ministry leaders, counselors, therapists and others.
The Hilliard church of the Nazarene will be hosting the Empowered to Connect Conference Simulcast April 10-11, 2015 (9am-5pm both days) at 3669 Leap Rd., Hilliard, OH. The conference will be free however, we may have a love offering at the time of simulcast to offset expenses.
What is the Empowered to Connect Conference?
The Empowered to Connect (ETC) Conference is a two-day conference for pre or post-adoptive or foster families and professionals that is designed to help them better understand how to connect with children from hard places in order to help them heal and become all that God intended for them to be.
Who should attend the Conference?
ETC is beneficial for adoptive parents, foster parents, potential adoptive/foster parents, and professionals (counselors, therapists, teachers, social workers, ministry leaders, youth nursery leaders and ANYONE working directly with children).
Conference details:
Conference sessions will be held at from 9AM-5 PM on both days. Light refreshments will be available during breaks throughout the event, with “on your own” lunch breaks scheduled from 12-1:30 PM. All participants are highly encouraged to attend sessions on both days.
To all attendees: workbooks may be ordered in advance at a cost of $6 if you contact me at angiestaten@gmail.com and put in the subject line: request ETC workbook. Workbooks are suggested for this conference. After your email has been received you will receive an email as to how to pay for the workbook. Deadline to order is February 21st.
